In the world of Major League Baseball, it is a tradition that each team will take a day during spring training to participate in a non-baseball-related activity. The purpose of this is to form camaraderie between the players and help build a more cohesive team. Some teams go golfing together, some decide to have a bowling outing. Not the Diamondbacks, no sir.
The Diamondbacks go out for a few rounds of paintball.
If the win-loss record may be used as a gauge of team cohesiveness, then paintball day was a complete success, as the players proudly dominated the management and staff in three out of four rounds played.
The fourth round was a draw.
Despite being specifically targeted for elimination by Willie Bloomquist, manager Gibson labeled the day as a success.
Another team-building activity the Diamondbacks recently participated in was the completion of a Harlem Shake video best described by watching it.
So far, the Diamondbacks are proving to be a fun team to follow.
